Text for previous post.....

Well for some reason Blogger was not working correctly and would not let me type once I added my photos...

So anyway...

Things are coming along in our little create an entry operation. My goal was to create some sort of an entryway to our home. One of the biggest problems was not having a place to hang our coats. They always ended up on the back of our dining room chairs. Well, I was sick of looking at them in the dining room. So with the help of my Jedi Master (aka Johnny) we were able to build a nice little coat rack. Sergio and I were finally able to hang it this past weekend. It wasn't an easy task with the plaster walls but it is up and we love it!

Change is good, right?

Holy crap, it's 2012! 2011 feels like a distant memory. It also feels like it was a whole 12 seconds long. It flew by!! Well, with the new year comes some new changes. In my last post, which was 4 months ago (I know, I don't post enough), I had made some changes to our entry. Well I decided it needed to change again. Now I want to put coat hooks along the long wall right when you walk in. So I moved the table to the corner and found a really cute runner at Garden Ridge. It is no where near the vision I have, but it is headed in the right direction.

Roscoe likes it too!
Another change we made is the light above the kitchen sink. Although I liked the light we had, it just wasn't the look I was going for in the kitchen. So on a random trip to Home Depot I spotted a light in the style that I had been looking for, and we could afford it!! What are the chances?! So that night Sergio and I made the switch.

After: It's much more simple and classic, don't you think? We still have to touch up the ceiling, but that involves looking for and actually finding the correct ceiling paint in our paint closet.
